you know what? it takes a lot longer to read my convoluted ramblings than to TAG!so, when you drop by, sHoUt-OuT!

my fascination with stars began in 1999, when my bestfriend aps hooked me into the wonderul internet world. sans a good idea for a username in MIRC, i asked her- "anong maganda?" ...she shrugged and said- "kahit ano, yan o. star?" her hand flew to my left ear and fiddled with the little star earstuds i wore that day. "...hmm. why not, choknat?!" after that, i just fell in love!

my online nicks- ^bItUiN^, istaRr (my peyups handle!), supern0va, stariray- have evolved in time but it "stars" one thing, stars! aren't they so pretty? they're geometrically perfect, and astronomically beautiful! is there a more soothing sight for the hopeless soul than a twinkling light in a dark sky?

"When you are sad and lonely, just look at the stars. They're so pretty. You deserve the stars. You deserve all the beautiful things in life."

Catch stars of your own!

i consider my vocal cords as the BEST blessing that God has given me. singing has always been one of my two biggest passions; and it has taken me places, led me to meet different-wonderful-beautiful people, graced me memories, and taught me a lot! it's one of the best ways that i express myself, it has filled my most idle moments and transformed them into happy times. most importantly, it will always and always be my favorite way of praising the Lord, to Whom i give back all the glory. sing out!!!

oh, the beauty of words! i have always LOVED to write--- i started writing poems when i was five, gobbled up my english and filipino lessons all throughout my academic life, immersed myself in journalism classes, am on my 13th diary lately, have written countless articles and word-doodles and even just plain crap... you get the idea. that's why i also enjoy blogging so much. write-write-write! love it-love it-love it!
however, my blogs are but a chunk of my cluttered existence. take it seriously if you must, but there's more to me than i share. you may ask me, that may work. the question is, will i tell you more?
yuh-huh, I am loved! because of friendster’s current sucky format, my testimonials from my beloved friends are drowning on each other. so I decided to “revive?them by posting three lovey-love-love tributes from my friends.
(o, walang favoritism ‘to ha. random! baka magkaselosan pa. hehehe.)
*nicx*

Jojie ang pinakamagandang kalbo sa balat ng lupa. hah! finally... that's a start! hirap mong gawan ng testi! so many nice things to say about u!!! grrr... here we go. Jojie is my crush. Literally - cuz i admire her. (uuy, issue! hahaha!) and what's not to admire about this lady? aside from the fact that she's got a pretty face, appeal, and she's a good - not to mention stylish - dresser (love the hats!), she's religious, smart and damn talented (no one beats this voice, magaling mag-ocho ocho, actress, pulburon-maker, and the list goes on.. and on... and on). i cannot say that we've been friends for such a long time, so then maybe i don't know her that well. but what the hell, for us, time is nothing but a number! diba Joj?! it's funny how much mems we have within that short span of time. ang saya! never a dull moment with her! hay nako, ur a million (and still counting) good things rolled into one. but the reason why i really admire her is because she's such a strong person within, (no matter how bad the situation is) she has this ever positive vibe that is ever contagious. yep, such a radiant personality only from Jojie:) and we all love you for that. she's a lovely angel, definitely a walking ray of sunshine, smile na tinubuan ng tao, a hero, an inspiration, a fighter, a FREE and BRAVE soul, beauty personified, a star (literally and figuratively), a true friend, a samaritan, life's treasure! it's people like Jojie that remind you how wonderful life is, and how blessed you really are. it's true what they say that the best things in life are free. i know that now. thanks Jojie, and thank God for Jojie!!! Dito lang kami for you, ayt? :) Hope you find ¡°the one¡± soon! *wink* cheers to happier days and louder-than-ever laughs!!! luv ya friend! forever and ever... and a day!ü *mWaHuGz*
*ken*

jokabed...tawag yan kay jojie sa "spell- EAT" ng "Eat Bulaga".. di kasi ma- pronounce ni Vic Sotto yung name nya (anlaking tao, antanga no?)dun nag- start na tawagin ko syang jokabed,, hehe.. we've been friends since first grade (naks...first grade ung ginamit na term.. feeling IS tyo eh.. hwek hwek) since before nagshihine na to.. sa acads and most especially, sa singing..;) oi bru, naalala mo na tayo lagi magka-duet? hehe, ambongga natin nun! newai, what more can i say? everyone must have written in their testimonials all the best you have offered this world.. ako? i'll just write how i was so blessed to have met you.. you were a very important part of my life.. dai na nating pinagdaanan no? mga kanta sa Glee Club, mga ek-ek plays, pati pulitika pinasok natin nun! thanks for the wonderful experiences... sana eventhough we aren't together now like before, we would always keep the fire of friendship burning! jojie inspired me to what i am now. (taRay No?) honest yun! kasi she was the first one to believe in me, in my talent, and what i can do. she inspired me to sing, to do politics, to perform, to lead. and she did it all without really knowing..
i miss you a lot! and i admire you more than ever.
i love you! mwah! friends for keeps!
p.s. jie, naalala mo nung nilagyan ko ng kisses yung coleman mo? hehe..la lang... come to think of it, untikan na pala kitang todasin.. hwekhwek... buti na lang hindi natuloy... hehe mahal kita!
*heyz*

jojie's optimism inspires me. kailangan ko talagang i-stress yan. ewan ko ba sa babaeng 'to. kahit ilang milyong beses yatang ma-heartbroken 'to(hindi lang ng mga tangang lalaki na hindi kayang i- appreciate ang isang special na nilalang na tulad niya), all smiles pa rin. sure, i've witnessed many of her "tear fests" too. pero dahil nga strong si jojie at isa siyang optimism with arms and legs, kita niyo naman siya, konting panahon lang, go na ulit. isa lang ang wish ko para sa kanya- the right guy at the right time. kundi man.. ano ngayon? alam ko naman na alam mo na kahit sampung lalaki pa yan, walang hihigit sa love ng mga totoo mong kaibigan para sa'yo, kasama ako. ^_^
F-R-I-E-N-D-S
i just had to devote a chunk for my favorite tv show of aaaaall time, FRIENDS! i know everything about it by heart! and when i say everything, i mean everything--- trivioids, the characters, each and every episode... everything! oh how my heart breaks each time i think that they've wrapped up their last season already (it was may6 in the states, i think); but hey, there'd always be DVDs, and uber-cool FRIENDS sites.
here's my favorite, read FRIENDS episodes to your heart's content!

what dogs teach us!
dogs are my favorite creatures in the world! (sometimes, i can't even say "... next to humans") they're smart and adorable, and they can be your most-best-est friend. here are stuff that dogs teach us:
* When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
* Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
* Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
* When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.
* Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
* Take naps.
* Stretch before rising.
* Run, romp, and play daily.
* Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
* Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
* On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
* On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
* When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
* No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout...run right back and make friends.
* Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
*Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
* Be Loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not.
* If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
* When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

STELLA AWARDS Thursday, January 08, 2009 5:28:58 AM
It's time again for the annual "Stella Awards"! For those unfamiliar with these awards, they are named after 81-year-old Stella Liebeck who spilled hot coffee on herself and successfully sued the McDonald's in New Mexico where she purchased the coffee. You remember..... she took the lid off the coffee and put it between her knees while she was driving. Who would ever think one could get burned doing that - right? That's right, these are awards for the most outlandish lawsuits and verdicts in the U.S. You know, the kinds of cases that make you scratch your head. So keep your head scratcher handy. Here are the Stella's for the past year: 7TH PLACE : Kathleen Robertson of Austin, Texas was awarded $80,000 by a jury of her peers after breaking her ankle tripping over a toddler who was running inside a furniture store. The store owners were understandably surprised by the verdict, considering the running toddler was her own son. 6TH PLACE : Carl Truman, 19, of Los Angeles, California won $74,000 plus medical expenses when his neighbor ran over his hand with a Honda Accord. Truman apparently didn't notice there was someone at the wheel of the car when he was tr ying to steal his neighbor's hub caps. Go ahead, grab your head scratcher. 5TH PLACE : Terrence Dickson, of Bristol, Pennsylvania, was leaving a house he had just burglarized by way of the garage. Unfortunately for Dickson, the automatic garage door opener malfunctioned and he could not get the garage door to open. Worse, he couldn't re-enter the house because the door connecting the garage to the house locked when Dickson pulled it shut. Forced to sit for eight, count 'em, EIGHT, days on a case of Pepsi and a large bag of dry dog food, he sued the homeowner's insurance company claiming undue mental Anguish. Amazingly, the jury said the insurance company must pay Dickson $500,000 for his anguish. We should all have t his kind of anguish. Keep scratching. There are more... 4TH PLACE : Jerry Williams, of Little Rock, Arkansas, garnered 4th Place in the Stella's when he was awarded $14,500 plus medical expenses after being bitten on the butt by his next door neighbor's beagle - even though the beagle was on a chain in its owner's fenced yard. Williams did not get as much as he asked for because the jury believed the beagle might have been provoked at the time of the butt bite because Williams had climbed over the fence into the yard and repeatedly shot the dog with a pellet gun. Grrrrr ... Scratch, scratch. 3RD PLACE : Third place goes to Amber Carson of Lancaster , Pennsylvania because a jury ordered a Philadelphia restaurant to pay her $113, 500 after she slipped on a spilled soft drink and broke her tailbone. The reason the soft drink was on the floor: Ms. Carson had thrown it at her boyfriend 30 seconds earlier during an argument. What ever happened to people being responsible for their own actions? Scratch, scratch, scratch. Hang in there; there are only two more Stellas to go... 2ND PLACE : Kara Walton, of Claymont, Delaware sued the owner of a night club in a nearby city because she fell from the bathroom window to the floor, knocking out her two front teeth. Even though Ms. Walton was trying to sneak through the ladies room window to avoid paying the $3.50 cover charge, the jury said the night club had to pay her $12,000....oh, yeah, plus dental expenses. Go figure. 1ST PLACE : (May I have a fanfare played on 50 kazoos please?) This year's runaway First Place Stella Award winner was Mrs. Merv Grazinski, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who purchased a new 32-foot Winnebago motor home. On her first trip home from an OU football game, having driven onto the freeway, she set the cruise control at 70 mph and calmly left the driver's seat to go to the back of the Winnebago to make herself a sandwich. Not surprisingly, the motor home left the freeway, crashed and overturned. Also not surprisingly, Mrs. Grazinski sued Winnebago for not putting in the owner's manual that she couldn't actually leave the driver's seat while the cruise control was set. The Oklahoma jury awarded her, are you sitting down, $1,750,000 PLUS a new motor home. Winnebago actually changed their manuals as a result of this suit, just in case Mrs. Grazinski has any relatives who might also buy a motor home.
